Marine Park
One live camera at the pavilion. Three raptor pole cameras are offline until permanent power is installed.
Fairhaven Cove
Two cameras at the marina and cove.
These cameras shouldn't be temporary. You can help.
Three of the Marine Park cameras live on the osprey pole, the tall structure near the beach at Marine Park. They ran on temporary power for Ski to Sea and are now offline. We want to make them permanent.
The ask: we're petitioning the Port of Bellingham to install permanent power and internet to the osprey pole, so the Marine Park cameras can stay year round.
The bonus: the same conduit could host a raptor cam during nesting season, so people can watch the ospreys when they return in spring.
The webcams are set up, maintained and run by community volunteers.
They're used by boaters, kiteboarders, fishermen, and anyone who wants to know what the bay looks like right now. Tell us how you use them and we'll bring every voice to the Port Commissioners.
Tell the Port why the cameras matter
Takes about 30 seconds. Approved responses appear on the wall below and go to the Port with the petition.
What Bellingham is saying
Moderator-approved responses. We'll bring your voices to the Port of Bellingham.
Keep the cameras on.
The Boating Center has a dedicated webcam fund. Internet is donated by PogoZone, but we have a streaming bill at Brownrice and equipment to maintain. Every dollar keeps the streams running.
